Building on the achievements of Renewable Cobargo, local community members in and around Bermagui are excited to announce the launch of Renewable Bermagui in 2024. On July 28th, Renewable Bermagui is holding a Launch event and mini Energy Expo.
We invite all members of the community to attend – home owners and renters, community organisations and small business owners. Hope to see many of the community there!

Cobargo community buildings now have resilient, cheaper, cleaner sources of energy. These buildings will maintain power when the grid is down and help us survive extreme hot weather.
Come and help us to celebrate the completion of four new solar powered cool spaces at the RFS, RSL, School of Arts Hall and Cobargo Co-op.

Microgrid Community Conversation

What’s possible for the Cobargo area if we move forward with a renewable energy microgrid? The feasibility study into a Cobargo renewable energy microgrid is nearly complete and we would like to share where we are with it.
The CaDET team (Cobargo and District Energy Transition), and technology partner ITP Renewables, will host a community workshop to:
- share what’s happening in the project
- explore the benefits and capacities of a potential microgrid for Cobargo
- answer questions and dig deep into specific topics you are curious about
- discover how you can contribute to a renewable Cobargo.
