For the past four years, since the 2019-2020 Black Summer bushfires, Renewable Cobargo has worked on a range of local energy resilience projects, to better prepare Cobargo for the next energy emergency.
Cobargo: a rural village energy story brings together video and still images documenting our efforts. The videos include images with member of the Cobargo community and members of Renewable Cobargo reflecting on the devastating impacts of the Black Summer bushfires, especially the loss of access to the electricity grid, and their determination to ensure that it never happened again.
Produced by Crucible Studio, the visual story contains stunning video and still images of Cobargo and the surrounding countryside.
